I hope that Reggie Smith makes it. If we were to lose Goldson (injury prone), I feel that only one that can truly step in right away is Reggie.

I actually think the bold has a really good chance of making the roster.
Mitchell looked pretty good holding up the line last Preseason.
Boone seems to be in tip top shape and was once thought of as a top prospect coming outta college.

QB (3) Smith, Caar, Davis
* No Changes here, Brown may find his way on to PS
RB/FB (5) Gore, Coffee, Dixon, Robinson* Norris prob wins the FB job, but Caulcrick is much faster and can catch the ball
and may be a better ST player, so this may be a close camp battle, Miller also has a chance but prob otw to the PS
WR (5) Crab, Morgan, Ginn, Williams
* Williams makes it due to his ability as a PR and quickness/Hands as slot
* The much discussed Hill or Jones debate, I'd rather have Hill, but if the Niners dont want to take the hit from all the dead money they would incur if they cut Jones, I could see them keeping him and trading Hill
TE (3) Davis, Walker
* I think Byham makes the 53 as our blocking TE
with Curtis, Finley going
OL (9 or 10) Staley, Iupati, Heitmann, Rachal, Davis, Sims, Snyder, Baas
* Wragge or Boone get the last spot,
I could see a scenario where they keep 10, Just to protect Boone as our future
backup swing tackle and still have insurance at Center with Wragge.
Baas will probably determine the fate of Wragge, If Baas can play Center, I think Wragge is gone
DL-(6) Sopo, Franklin, Smith, McDonald. Francois, Balmer
* Mitchell and Evans have a chance if we keep 7
LB- (9) Willis, Spikes, Lawson, Brooks, Haralson, Laboy. Bowman, McKillop
* last spot goes to Vet depth or potential, Wilhelm or Briggs
Im rooting for Briggs
CB- (5) Clements, Spencer, Brown* Paymah and James look like front runners the get the last two spots
but we may see a rook like Adams or Stoudamire sneak in there.
I think Stoudamire may end up being one of those "surprises" of camp
S-(4) Lewis, Goldson, Smith, Mays
* I think C.Taylor will be a tough cut, but hopefully clears waivers to get on the PS
Maragos will also prob find his way on the PS, and in 2011 one of em takes over as the 4th if Lewis is released or retires
ST (3 or 4) Nedney, Lee, Jennings
* if we dont keep 10 OL or 7 DL, there is one spot left, We already probably have
Ginn returning Kicks and Williams returning Punts, But im sure Sing wants a backup plan if either struggle, so I think Vann could win that last spot as a return specialist
and maybe even win both Jobs in camp

Yeah, I might be buying into the hype; but, I think Boone makes it this year...

I will just choose one from each position as stone cold locks:
QB Smith
RB Gore
WR Crabtree
TE V. Davis
OL Staley
DL J. Smith
LB Willis
CB Goldson
ST Andy Lee
Everyone else is fair game this early in the offseason.

great job, my only disagreement is Boone and Mitchell they have a real shot. Reggie Smith makes the team barring injury also. otherwise real good job.

I like the fact that Maiocco had Kyle Williams rated higher than Brandon Jones and Dominique Zeigler. Shows that Williams has shown some promise
