Alex won't be a pro bowler if Singletary has a hand in the offense! Singletary wants to win with 3-4 yards and a cloud of dust. He wants to win with defense. He wants scores of 10-7 and 14-9.
If Alex somehow makes the pro bowl, it would be as a way down the line alternate.

Very doubtful. Last season there was 5 NFC Quarterbacks who put 4,000 yards 25 TDs in the NFC alone. Alex isn't going to get that many yards out of our offense.
Barring injuries Rodgers and Brees are locks. They put up 4,200 yards 25 TDs and a 100+ rating in their sleep. That leaves one spot which will probally go to someone in the NFC East or Brett Favre. Romo, Eli, McNabb. All those guys will put up numbers beyond Alex and have bigger names to get the popularity vote.
Last season Alex was 9th best QB in the NFC. If he can get to 5th or 6th we'll be cool.

He already out performed Ryan last year, I think doubters will be surprised this year. Never write off someone that is willing to work his ass off to get better.

Not too mention, this was a little interesting;
Despite playing in just eleven games in 2009, Alex posted 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. His QB rating was 81.5, which put him on par with Carson Palmer and exceeded that of Matt Hasselbeck and Jay Cutler. Smith's completion percentage of 60.5 was higher than that of Donovan McNabb and Matt Hasselbeck.

in a few years, he'll be in the webzone hall of fame. right next to Tim Rattay.

absolutely

None of those stats listed there are better than mediocre. He's 19th in QB rating, and 17th in accuracy. Donovan's never been known as an accurate QB and Carson's been overrated since his 3rd season. I don't think those stats indicate that Alex played well it just shows the weaknesses in Palmer's and McNabb's game right now.

LOL, woopty do for Alex Smith.
I want to see the San Fancisco 49ers play well & win. I could care less on predictions of Alex Smith's personal glory of making it into the Pro Bowl
