Solari and Brown will coach him up to stay within the frame of the pass rusher... don't trip about it

This video scares me because I don't see him blowing people off the line like people on here have been saying. I believe this is the senior bowl so this is pretty close to NFL calliber competition. He looks more like a grabber than a mauler here, but there is also tape that shows him doing his thing.
Do you think his beast mode had more to do with who he played against in college?
Your thoughts?

See if you can find a copy of senior bowl week practice. He was destroying everyone. Usually guards don't do well in the positions drills during the week and it was child's play all week for him no matter the opponent.

Dude.... I played RB for alot of years after university in a semi-pro/drink beer&chase girls league here in Canada. What I saw is what every RB wants to see..... the back of his interior linemans jersey. Why? Real simple, he's controling the point of attack and shifting the d-lineman away from the hole. That's an automatic 3 yards - more if there is a C/offside G who checked his man then moved to the 2nd level or a FB to take on the LB. What I also saw is a G who can hit the second level when asked to.
You are right, there were no pancakes shown in that video - no real straight up drive blocks where Iupati got underneath the DT and drove him 5 yards back. But I also didn't see that from any of the O-Line which to me looks more like scheme than individual player ability. By the way..... holding occurs on every single play along the line. He just got highlighted.
Personally I was ecstatic about the 2 O-line choices especially Iupati. Neither Baas or Rachal have shown anything that says they deserve to start so getting Iupati mid-1st round filled both a need and BPA. Frankie G should be sizing both up for their new Rolex any day now!

Glad we hired Ray Brown. He'll be one of the best OL assistants to work with Chilo and Iupati on their technique.

Yeah, Brown will really help them out. I really glad we got him and Solari. It should be a marvelous season.

I have discussed this with my mother. She is not keen on this outcome, although broadly supportive of the team.
