CB Nate Clements(2013) This will be his make or break year. If he can play for us then he should be around, if not he needs to be cut for salary purposes.
CB Tarell Brown(2013) This is his year, we need to see improvement or next years draft will have lots of CBs in it.
OLB Parys Haralson(2013) Will find out if 2009 was an injury year. If he does not contribute more he is a potential cut.
DE Justin Smith(2013) Simply good
WR Brandon Jones(2013) Will see if he makes the cut this year.
WR Michael Crabtree(2014) Sky is the limit for him, should see a lot of development in his game.
LS Brian Jennings(2014) Excellent at his job.
MLB Patrick Willis(2016) Great player.
OT Joe Staley(2017) Want to see improved run blocking.
OT Anthony Davis (Likely signed thru 2014) Good pick in the draft
G Mike Iupati (2014) I want to see him in the starting lineup rapidly.
SS Taylor Mays (2013) Want to see development on tackling and coverage. I want to see him start as soon as possible.
ILB Navarro Bowman (2013; Next ILB) Exciting potential. Will be interesting to see what Manusky does with him.
RB Anthony Dixon (2013) I am predicting he will back up Gore.
TE Nate Byham (2013; Our big blocking TE)

Or Lewis and Clemments for that matter. I wouldn;t exactly call either long term......

for Nate and Lewis, they stay they are good playmakers on D, and they likely will re-do their deals.

Im not sold on keeping Brown and Spencer only, we need a vet prescence.

Then Franklin should be kept for the next 4-5 yrs.

Takeo for vet purposes till Navorro Bowman learns the position then he takes over.

And long term IMO is 3 yrs and beyond.

Ok, I guess 3 nfl seasons can be considered a long time but if you were Franklin and got franchised, would you accept a 3 year deal? Unless it's a front loaded fluff contract. I wonder if Michael Lewis stays as a backup when it's obvious the body is breaking down. Takeo Spikes too but atleast he plays a position where he's covered up and not left out in space although he's shown nice instincts in zone coverage. Clements, not so sure if he'll re-do his deal. I don't know why but he stikes me as that type IMO. Alot of pride.
