He certainly does, and his pants still aren't wrinkled.
Funny if you remember that commercial he did way back then.

I thought Baalke responded well to all of he reasonable questions and stood his ground in spit of Ralph talking over him.
He addressed the question of whether he had the final call or if it was Singletary. He clearly claimed the responsibility for the final call.
He stated that if Davis came near #13 they had already decided to go up and get him. They also stated that they wanted Iupati and that they were going to draft him.
Baalke discussed T Mays and felt that with Mays physical skills he was worth the risk to bring on board and that with proper training and coaching he could be an outstanding pick in an area of need.
Baalke discussed the draft strategy of BPA versus need. Baalke again stated that he, along with Coach Sing, want the biggest, strongest, fastest, most talented person at whatever position can help the team. The most talent over time will outweigh the most need over time.
He also discussed the issue of the draft boards. Baalke stated that they eliminated all of the players that they knew that they were not going to pick due to talent and appropriateness for their system. They had the players they wanted and they had them ranked out for draft round and if they did not have one that they wanted in a round they would not be picking anyone and could trade back. Davis, Iupati, Mays, Bowman were in their respective groups and they selected those players that they wanted and ignored the rest.
Very good interview. It is on KNBR with the Razor and Mr. T.
I think Baalke would make a good GM.
