You guys are ridiculous. Coffee makes the team over Blount, no doubt. Maybe Blount can make the practice squad. If the 9ers thought he'd be such an improvement over Coffee they'd have drafted him instead of risking not signing him as a UDFA. And honestly, Coffee is a better prospect.

Sucks that Coffee won't really get a shot, with these guys around.

He'll probably still make the roster...Coffee had a golden opportunity when Gore was out and even if you give him a pass for the Vikings game, he totally sucked with a week to prepare against the Falcons and Rams.

Hell yah now we can really hit people in the mouth.

I think Sing is going to have to yell out "Ear Muffs" then a teammate cover's Blount's ears...and Sing goes along to pump the team up for the game... "HIT THEM IN THE MOUNTH"

I can't believe they signed this guy.

I remember the mood of the BSU - OU after game activities.
Not only did this guy punch another player in the mouth, he also tried to attack BSU and OU fans in the stands as well as pushing police officers that were trying to escort him off the field.

I hope he doesn't make it to the final roster.

How about you give the Kid a chance first before you throw him under the bus. Sure he lost his head for 15 mintues, but hes worked his ass off for the past 3 months to get a second chance. Little do you probably know (because the only input you have on him is the Boise St. Incident) this kid has ALL the potential in the world and had 1st-2nd round talent AND was getting heisman consideration in the beginning of the year until his opening night meltdown. He averaged over 10 yards a carry his Junior year! Watch some videos of him and give him a chance before you judge him.

Oh and its the UO, not the OU...

Me too.
You gotta be kidding me! All you weenies hoping that Blount gets cut obviously don't hear the pop as in pull your heads out of your..... Blount is worthy of consideration despite his pathetic meltdown. What is important is whether he hears the pop after Sing shapes him up.
"I WANT WINNERS"

"SMASHMOUTH FOOTBALL"

I think he's starting to lean too far on the smashmouth now.. babysitting 40+ players AND winning a superbowl, just isn't possible..

These guys better do some maturing..

Of course, if one of them gets out of line, Singletary will have the other 39 who won't hesitate to kick the guy's butt from one side of the field to the next.

In the team meeting room is a sign that lists what Mike Singletary envisions for 49ers: "physical, tough, relentless, discipline, smart.

3 out of 5 aint bad for an UFA

no thats 60% hahaha
Punching a guy in the face is one thing, trying to go Ron Artest into the stands is another. There is a reason he wasn't signed. Hopefully he will be like Alex Boone and get his mind right under Singletary, even if he doesn't make the squad.

what? i didn't want Blount signs with 49ers! no way.. i didn't like him cuz he is so an idiot and mess up with team.. pls pls cut him roster! he is not worthless it

If he does well and made the roster you might be the one hittin your self in the face...he's an idiot? calm down You dnt even know the guy..he might come after u for sayin that lol
We had to rebuild the OL and did. We had to have a return man for both KO and Punts and we traded for the #7 pick in 2007 rd plus got a return man later in draft. We had to get a S capable of starting...we did in Mays, altho he may play corner. We had to have some spare parts RBs and we did(we now have 3, and they ain't pansies)...maybe not speed burners, but all solid RBs. We needed a passrushing OLB and may or may not have. We always want to improve the DL , esp NT, and didn't.

Basically starting at biggest needs and working downward, i give baalke a serious tip of the cap for this draft(yeah, bigMike too, but my money is on baalke) Getting on the phone post draft and landing Blount...well, that was a terrific addition. Of all the picks, AD and iupati were just superior, and moving up to #11 to insure AD was A+, as i believe the Fins were going to draft him. But the addition of Blount after the draft may be that one move that really will benefit this team. Sure, he punched somebody, and paid the price for it. We got a guy who probably should have gone high in rd 2 for nada. If he works out, Mays plays to his potential, and AD and Iupati play as we know they will, this very well could be a draft better than any since Bill Walsh days.
