gore is one of the few elite backs in the league who hasnt really had to share his carries, if hes been healthy hes been getting all the carries so its not suprising to see him be apprehensive about the situation.

Maybe Gore Should stay healthy for full season before starts to b***h. Besides the fact the man turns 30 in 3 years.
wtf get out m an in 3 years he turns 30 so lets worry about replacing him in 3 years and how many Rbs can do what he did with a bottom 5 OL? when our o line was decent in 2006 he had a career year 1600 yds or something like that fix the o line first so many problems would be solved
spiller is not needed as 1st round pick (unless gaither comes to the 9ers)
I am not advocating spiller in the 1st, but I am saying Frank needs to stop his b***hing about the prospect of us drafting another RB. THE NFL is a business and frank has performed beyond anyones expectations, but Gore has missed stretches of the season that hampers our team. I think that a 3 headed running back system would be a good idea for our offense, Keep Gore fresh offer a game breaker and pound the ball with coffee. However, I feel frank has a lot left in the tank but his touches need to be minimized to prolong his career and help prevent the constant injuries that he has sustained the las 2-3 seasons.

This guy!?
83 carries, 226 yards, 2.7 average. We had a 1-headed backfield last year. Draft Spiller.

This is stupid. They need to have solid starters(especially on the OL) before they start worrying about depth at RB. Baalke already is pissing me off.

would you be happy about giving up touches? all he does is rush for over 1000 yards with an awful o-line(excluding 2006) and a backup who was mediocre at best
If it meant I'd play in the NFL longer, yes. There was a short story on how Deangelo Williams likes sharing carries with Stewart because he knows it's only going to help his career last longer. And they both rushed for over 1,000 yards this season.

We need a change of pace guy (read speedy) in the backfield line-up , someone who can really turn the corner. I think all of us are saying this in one way or another.

i dont disagree with u, but i dont know why they handcuffed themselves by picking a guy like coffee last year with a 3rd rounder. now some ppl want spiller, jahvid best and so on, they are good players and i want them on the team but this coffee selction complicates things big time when we have needs elsewhere

yeah and if Patrick Willis was GM, Michael Vick would be the QB. It's great to have an elite athlete at RB not a GM.

I believe its only gonna be 2 headed backfield I don't see Coffee staying any longer after this season. He sucks he reminds me of barlow 2.0 whenever he is on the field. He stutter a lot and can't find any hole in the offensive line. There are many more rookie RB had made an impact on their rookie year. Just look at M. Robinson he never seem to develop to be a great RB. Frank Gore, Chris Johnson, and etc. made impact on their rookie year you can tell they are gonna be great. Its either you have or you don't and Coffee definitely not great. He was given every opportunity last year to be great but guess what Coffee barely just made it to 3 yards per carry. We can blamed the offensive line but Frank has the same line. I know the O line started to play better late in the season but gore was still great despite our O-line sucking.
Coffee= He suck.

Gore is being selfish. Who gives f**k what he thinks, its not about him its about the team.
If he aint down with the program then he has to go.

The Gore hate in this thread is ridiculous. He's a competitor and wants the ball. Nothing is wrong with that. Do you people think he's going to go on strike or something if another RB is brought in? Please.
