My theory is that Mike Singletary has been telling his daughter to convince Otogwe to join the 49ers. She tells him she has fallen out of love with Mr. Otogwe and is now in a love triangle with Shaun Hill and Mrs. Noodle. So being the general that Singletary is, he tells Shaun hill nicely to fucc off. He tells McCloughan to trade our two 1st rounders for Tom Brady and Randy Moss....McCloughan gets David Carr and a 2011 7th pick instead.
Singletary asks, "a 7th rounder??!!!!"....McCloughan (shook) responds , "it's actually a really weally late 6th...it's the Lions, sir."....Singletary, "nah, I wasn't angry, I was just surprised we even got anything for Shaun...."...."by the way, you're fired cuz I told you to get Tom Brady and you got me another bust."

Truth & Rumors: McCloughan Not Stepping Down as 49ers GM
Maybe the agent doesn't even know? -I mean f**k, the 49ers traded Hill without Hill or even his agent knowing until Shaun Hill found out about it himself on the internet. -There probably is something going on behind doors, the info won't exit those doors until the situation has been settled.
Even if this is a hack/hoax story it seems oblivious to be just 'that' (usual hoax stories have to do with player trades and head coaches getting fired).
No kidding.
If this is REALLY a hoax, the Matt's twitter account got hacked, which is more distressing to me than McLouglan getting fired. The Two Matts need to be able to tweet / twat with impunity. Any time Matt tweets from hereon, whether it be from the draft or training camp or whatever, will be viewed with skepticism.
That is the TRUE crime.

I'm reading Maiocco's blog as if he already gave the 49ers 3 hours and then he posted his blog. (the 3 hours have already passed is what I mean).

Well I guess now we know why Singletary has been traveling around to see all these players.

First, Maiocco reports that "sources told" him that McC was stepping down. Then McC's agent insists that the rumor is untrue. Boy, Maiocco better pray his "source" was solid or his ass will be grass in setting off this firestorm.
Assuming that the rumor was true, my first reaction to the news was "oh, sh*t, the Yorks must have been reading Webzone and all my criticism of McC, and they agreed with my insightful analysis."
Seriously, this is trouble with a capital "T" if it is true. If the Yorks called McC on the carpet and he blew up and quit, then he destroyed his career. Teams will be leery of hiring somone who loses his cool and storms out at such a critical time. Grownups hold their emotions and resign at appropriate times. Even if Holmgren wanted him, Holmgren would'nt dare pull such a stunt at this time of year. There would be a black mark on him too.
If it was the Yorks who decided to can him now, it reconfirms their track record of acting like immature children who play with and constantly break an expensvie toy their rich daddy gave them. Look at their dismal history of hires - always hiring untried, unproven people, then hoping for the best. McC should never have been promoted to GM in the first place. Back when they promoted McC, if they were to have developed a list of 10 "qualified" candidates to interview for GM, McC probably wouldn't have made that list. Or if he made the list, he would probably have been ranked 10th most qualified.
In summary, it all starts and ends with the Yorks. They continually make stupid decisions.

Look at the Twitter page for Maiocco. The two tweets about McCloughan are the only ones from "Web", the rest are from Tweetdeck or MobileWeb.
Plus MM's Blog is irregular -- can't post reply.
Plus MM doesn't drop "3 hours to respond" ultimatums.
Plus the ProFootballTalk & Mindi Bach posts from his agent.
Very elaborate hoax.

This sounds like Honky Bullsh*t backtracking. I'm white BTW.
If Matt reported it based on sources, then I would tend to believe Matt over an "agent"
