tearing his ACL ,being hurt and out for some of camp, new coaching staff, lockout, no mini-camps, etc. not looking good for Z . He will have to put Rice-like #'s vs. Houston and San Diego to make the team.
prior coaching staff's loved him, but those guys are gone now.

Beyond a few catches in a couple of games, I'm not sure how he had contributed to this team other than a practice warrior the last few years. It took a couple of months for the new coaching staff to realized we don't need Ziegler what other previous coaches kept for 3 years.

Keeping five WRs limits his abiity to impress, particularly with his injury keeping him out of early practices. I really like the guy but they had five guys who were stronger, better blockers, and just did not have space for him. Not his fault and really not an indication that he will never make it in the NFL. He could be the next Brandon Lloyd, fitting on another team better than the 9ers.
That said, I really liked a couple of the other guys as well, Hogan being one.

He might end up in Chicago w/ martz. I believe this is the system he had the most potential in as a slot receiver.
