Which former #1 pick has been a bigger disappointment?

This is a poll on ESPN. So far, with 39,000+ votes, Carr is ahead in the poll with 61% considering him a bigger disappointment. I was curious to see what the feeling was here.

I'd have to say Carr, hes been healthy and had one of the best (if not thee best) receiver in the NFL in Andre Johnson. But to his defense, there really hasn't been a running game in Houston to take some weight off his shoulders or even a good defense. But still hes been the bigger disappointment.
David Carr thus far....haha that rhymes!
Didnt know much about either when they came out of college their respective years, but who had more hype? Was Carr or Smith even good enough to be considered 1st overal picks?
the only reason i'm saying smith is because we drafted him..this year is do or die for him IMO

2005 was a pathetic draft year and one of the very worst in recent memory. He was not even the consensus #1 pick.
Carr.

Who was supposed to be #1 in 2005?

1. Smith
2. Brown
3. Edwards
4. Benson
5. Williams
6. Jones
7. Williamson
8. Rolle
9. Rodgers
10. Williams

That is sad for the 1st ten picks.

For us, yes. For the rest of the league, no.

He went #24 which means he went to a much better team. And he sat for years behind a hall of fame QB to absorb everything and learn. Alex went #1 to a team that had expansion level talent. Not exactly apples to apples comparison there.

In 2005 Alex was the better athlete and taller in stature also. Rogers is 6'1 1/2" and Alex is 6'4". That with being the better athlete had him as the better long term projection.
well considering one of them is still on the team that drafted him, and is the starter for that team, and the other has been a journeyman backup and is now that first players backup....

id say Carr has been the bigger disappointment. both got lousy situations to start their careers, both have talent. Carr will make a solid backup for us, which is all that matters.
