would niner talk explode?
More likely the WZ servers would melt down into a pool of slag from all the venomous activity screaming for Scottie and Sing's immediate dismissal. Team HQ would be picketed by fans wearing Nate's number as well.

Pretty much.

Yeah, the only winning QB we've had in 7 years...what a LOSER!
The same morons that are talking trash about Shaun Hill are the same morons that were nut-lapping Nolan and Smith during this lost decade! We deserve the team we have because of you sheep!
Anyone that liked watching Hill must hate football. That guy was HORRIBLE!!
I liked watching Hill win.
yeah all those playoff games he won. that was entertaining.
oh wait...
Its hard to make the playoffs when Alex Smith is starting half the season.
Is that a serious statement? We were on no path to the playoffs after the Houston game. Hill was done and defenses had adapted.
I wish Hill all the best. He played with a lot of passion, and it was fun to root for the guy because of his status as a journeyman.
My fav. Hill moment:

Yep.
Word. Did a lot better than most QBs here for many years, and without the support that a #1 draft pick gets to help develop.

No, but in the spirit of the "goodbye thread" wanted to give a positive goodbye instead of trash talk.
I think Hill & Carr will have to compete for #2, with one of them being gone by season start. I have a hard time thinking they will cut #3 Davis, because he is a young project player. Smith is obviously the starter regardless how good Carr or Hill perform in training camp.

It was never pretty but Shaun Hill played to the best of his abilities and won this team some games. The guy could never take us to the next level but he took us somewhat out of the basement. He was the first QB this team responded to since Garcia left. There's really something to be said about that.
He had great heart and for the most part was smart with the football. His obvious physical limitations are what held him back from being a very good QB, which is sad because that's no fault of his own.
I personally like him over Carr but I understand the move (sort of).
Good luck Shaun, a class act despite not getting any respect, ever.
