Since Bruce is gone, and Crabs/Morgan are the primary guys, I'd say the slot position should be the BIGGEST (position) battle of training camp heading into 2010.
-I just hope Hill isn't snubbed again cause Jones (even going back to his TENN days I've heard from Titans fans), is a training camp 'hero' which always seems to go flat/injured during the regular season.
Hill deserves the extended reps, I remember going into last year's off-season, we had all imagined Jason Hill/Morgan being our duel threats after Hill's clutch success amidst the 2008 season.

Time to let Jason Hill play.

It has bothered me enormously that over the years the Yorks have blithly hired unproven (but cheap) people to critical positions. First it was Donahue, who had never established a proven record as a personnel man. We saw what that produced. Then they hired Nolan as HC and GM, who had never been either before. What were they thinking? Then they consented to Nolan hiring McLoughan as the team's personnel man, though he had only been a scout before (I think). Then they promoted McC to GM, even though he never served in that capacity before. Finally, they hired Singletary to become HC even before Sing had proven himself as a successful DC, let alone HC (the point made by Paso). They've have a very long track record of naive fantasy - hope and change, to use a currently popular slogan. Some people never learn.

Man, we need some real receivers, instead of hyping up overrated guys like Hill.
Tell me about it. Morgan isn't even all that good. Crabtree is the only legit WR we have.
If we got a new GM today, half the players on the roster would be gone.
I strogly disagree with that statement. We have THE BEST young core in the league i dont care what ANYBODY says.
Yea, we were 8-8 last year and lost quite a few close games. We have good young players. All we need is better production from the QB and a good draft and we SHOULD be the team to beat in the NFC West.

I say the guy that earns it plays, man crushers don't make the decision who plays or not. I think there should be enough balls tossed around for everyone to get involved. I think we have one helluva receiver corp just needing experience and consistent QB play.

Before Crabtree, the two starters should've been Morgan and Hill. Cut Brandon Jones and give one of the Undrafted rookies a shot. I'd like to see Jared Perry of Missouri get a shot.

The competition for #3 and #4 is strong - Hill, Jones, Ginn, and even Ziggy. We have to have 2 decent guys among that bunch, right?

I hope we get rid of jones. I can't stop thinking how terrible he was at punt returns.

I was gonna start this thread bro. I feel the same way. Hopefully he can keep up what he was doin because he seemed to be doing a good job finding the endzone and making good catches.

I've personally never brought into the Hill hype. I don't think he's that great. I believe Morgan sees the field ahead of him because Morgan is a better run blocker.
Hill has nice hands but has nowhere near the vaunted 4.3 speed that everyone was jumping up and down about. The first issue with Hill is that he's always had nagging injuries.
I do believe that there's a good reason why he's not seeing the field...
