Yes, let's not be like a team that could've gone undefeated if they wanted to, and made it all the way to the Super Bowl.
I love this post.
No further explanation needed.
That's why they keep getting beat by top level teams when it comes to the playoffs. They are one-dimensional and dominating in one dimension gets you to the big games, but it doesn't help you win the big games.
Come on, man. As if Brees was under center the entire game... He was in shotgun
very often.
I can't believe the implications you're making here. You're telling me that the Colts' offense which operates quite a lot of the shotgun, marginally more than the Saints do, is what contributed to their downfall? I absolutely do not buy it for a second.
To further add: Do you believe we run as much Shotgun as they (the Colts) do, have the same kind of personnel, and will be running the same exact system? We're two different teams and I imagine we'd strive to use an attack that works best.
The Colts offensive system is not why they lost the Super Bowl and that's one of the wildest stretches I've seen in a long time. What if Manning had checked into a run on the play he through the Pick-Six? Perhaps no turnover occurs and a minute later the game is 24-24. The Colts system didn't throw an interception, Peyton did. The same exact thing could have and likely would have happened if he had been under center on that play. And give Porter credit, he knew his team was blitzing and the ball had to come out fast. Smart defensive play and a game-changing moment for his team.
