Found a little boutique hotel, Hotel 55, for about $120 a night. I gave up on trying to find something decent in the immediate london vicintiy...

One thing concerns me about the two-week trip:
Injuries. How does the team handle injuries since they are away from their home base? We all know major injuries would not be traveling to Europe but what about the minor injuries where players need treatment but can still play the following week? Do they go to a hospital?

they play professional sports in England, (rugby, football, etc) if the NFL or the 49ers arent providing the proper medical care i´m sure they can find it in London through another team. the NFL has been playing games internationally for quite some time, i'm sure they have it figured out.

American Airlines and US Airways suck. If you can, fly out using Virgin or Delta.

I feel like I am the only one on here who did will-call, therefore I will pick them up on gameday. Already called ticketmaster to confirm that I am ready to go and the tickets will be waiting for me! =)

A buddy n I are flying SFO-LHR, traveling with a carry on backpack a piece. Departing Saturday arriving Sunday.
We're going to then tube into Piccadilly and stay at a hostel for a night right in the thick of central London, They had 2 bed private rooms for about 60pounds a night, best deal I could find for such a prime location. We found an NFL friendly sports bar right near Trafalgar square, blocks from the hostel. Hopefully we can catch the niner game there.
The next day we're tubing back to heathrow and picking up a car. Found a fiat that claims 60+mpg, which almost makes up for the 7buc a gallon petrol. Either way far cheaper than using the national rail to see the country. We're going to make a 5 day loop around England, stopping at everything from 'haunted' inns, ancient castles and a 2 day pub crawl with another friend who's going to be over visiting family.
We'll be back in London Sunday in time to drop the car, check back in to the same place drop our bags n tube to the game. We'll stay in London Monday as well hit some of the 'must see's n fly back Tuesday.
Should be good adventures.

I'm seeing several people here having trouble finding accommodations. Search for hostels. There are several with prime locations and they can be extremely cheap (15 pounds a night) if you don't mind bunking with other travelers, good way to meet other adventurers from around the world. Either way they will often have private rooms as well, though not as cheap as bunking they are much cheaper than hotels especially considering location.

The 2010 Pepsi Max NFL International Series game is just 10 days away, and this year NFL UK has pulled out the stops to make the weekend of the game an even more memorable one for fans.
For the first time ever the NFL is holding a Fan Rally in Trafalgar Square, and we are encouraging you to extend your weekend of NFL fun by coming down on Saturday October 30th from 1pm to be entertained by a combination of NFL legends and entertainment.
Among the stars of the gridiron on stage on Saturday afternoon in the centre of London will be San Francisco 49ers legends Jerry Rice and Roger Craig, current 49ers head coach Mike Singletary and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. In addition, whispers suggest that some of the current San Francisco team will show up to encourage fans to cheer for them in Sunday’s game. Get there early to make sure you see the Commissioner on stage being interviewed by Sky Sports Nick Halling.
The entertainment does not stop there, though. We will also welcome supermodel and 49ers fan Marisa Miller, the 49ers Gold Rush cheerleaders, rapper and Niners fan Asher Roth and Super Bash favourites Flawless and The Cuban Brothers.
With four hours of great entertainment and action on stage, as well as NFL Experience games, merchandise tents and food and drink available around Trafalgar Square, it promises to be a great day for NFL fans in London for Sunday’s game, and their friends and family.
We want you to come down to Trafalgar Square at 1pm on Saturday dressed from head to toe in your NFL regalia to show London that American Football fans are in town. So break out your favourite team’s merchandise and wear it with pride.
