Is VD still that fast after breaking his leg a couple years ago? I know he is still fast, but 4.35 is hard to imagine

He may be the fastest Tight End in the league (Wasn't Dustin Keller right behind that same time? And think back to the playoffs a couple years ago when Ben Watson chased down Champ to save a touchdown), but there are many other skill players who would have something to say about this.
40 times are almost irrelevant, simply because most of the times that WE have to work with come from only the scouting combine. Most players get faster after they enter the NFL, and most teams are hesitant to throw those statistics out there as public information.

How do you think the guy gets so up down the middle of the field? How about that 70 yard long bomb in the last game of year?
What he is not got is quickness. But the guy is 250lbs! He is a physical freak.

If VD gets his booster shot a few days before the race, he'd smoke them all.

VD Pound for pound is the fastest player in the NFL
If CJ slips, stumbles pulls a hammy...
About a 10th of a second, that race could go either way.
Meh...not really. A 10th of a second in a sprint is a substantial distance.
In the 100 it can be about 2-3 yards.
The difference in their best times is .14 seconds. That's a wide margin.
