that too. theres just too much to do in LA to hold football interest. plus they have USC already. people wont switch from being USC fans, so its pointless.
LA also gets ALL the premium games every week, due to not having an NFL market. they wont want to give up their games of the week every weekened to watch a mediocre team.

1982 season : Raiders move to Los Angeles (are immediately adopted 'cos team recently won a Super Bowl 2 years prior)
1983 season : Raider win first (and last) Super Bowl in LA
1984-1994 seasons : with the Raiders gone from the Bay Area, the 49ers go on to win 4 more Super Bowls for a total of 5 titles.
1995 season : Raiders return to Oakland
1995-present : the 49ers enter a 15-year (and counting) drought of NOT going to the Super Bowl....
