Thanks for helping spell out the point that I thought I was clearly alluding to in my first post.....that the jags and bills could change their name too!

....I guess allusion is too subtle for NT.

There is no Guarantee that they will change the name though. The last 2 teams that came to LA didnt change their names. The Rams and the Raiders.

That makes no sense. If it were just that easy to get an expansion team then why not get one in LA instead of moving. The reason for moving is to keep an even 32 teams. If the Niners moved (which they never will) we would not be getting another team via expansion.

The NFL wont allow one of its premier, historic franchises to be moved outside the bay area.

the "SF" logo, the name "49ers", the history of the team, super bowls, players, etc.

it makes the NFL too much money for them to allow an ownership group to move them.
