Lets see:
Smith: Has best season ever has a pro. Check
Gore: Surpasses both team and NFL record: Check
Davis: Ties Moss for Season TD's and NFL record: Check
Walker: Had his best season as a pro: Check
Morgan: Had his best year as a pro: Check
Hmmm. Now that is a great idea, let's blow it all up.
what NFL record did Gore surpass this year?

Hey ttime1:
Sure, you listed some individual performances that were good. However, we need to look at the Niners 2009 offense as a whole.
They ranked 27th out of 32 in the league based on yards gained. That's HORRIBLE!!! I know, I know, what about the offense rank of 19th or whatever based on the scoring.?. Their scoring average was a product of a good defense getting turnovers and giving them short fields in order to score.
The Niners mostly struggled to move the ball. They were around last in the league on 3rd down conversions. One of the reasons why is because they sucked on 1st and 2nd down and that put themselves in 3rd and long often. They were the ONLY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE NOT TO SCORE A TOUCHDOWN ON THEIR FIRST POSSESSION. They have a simple offense. They have an EXTREMELY PREDICTABLE offense.
