Saints: #1 offense in the league
Patriots: #2 offense in the league
Cowboys: #3 offense in the league
Packers: #4 offense in the league
Colts: #7 offense in the league
Vikings:#8 offense in the league
Eagles: #10 offense in the league
Chargers: #11 offense in the league
Cardinals:#12 offense in the league
Bengals:#20 offense in the league
These stats prove that total yards have a significant influence in winning a game. We are ranked #29. You guys still think that there is no connection between total yards and winning teams?
you would also notice that all those teams have had the same offensive systems for a number of years. It takes time in the same system, knowing the plays in detail before elite status can be achieved.

Do you guys really need statistics to show how inept our offense is? Were u not watching the games? We have a minimum of 8 three-n-outs a game. At least a few fumbles and ints. Boatloads of sacks. Our third down percentage is thee worst in the league (which IMO makes us a bottom 5 offense).
We were stopped on 3rd or 4th and less then a yard numerous times. We can't get any kind of push on the O line. We can't get any kind of consistent pass protection.
We are lucky we have solid skill players (Walker, Crabs, VD, Gore, and even Morgan) that can bail us out when the team plays like s**t.
Smith is not the answer at QB. It should be apparent to all by now.

Well it isn't apparent to half the zoners and the organization plus the 9ers coaching staff think Smith is the starter going into next year. I would say based on his play and numbers Smith has improved and could be the future QB for us. I don't know since this is his 8th game as starter after 30 months of being out with injuries etc.

Agree. We need to pick our style of offense & go with it so we can become a btter offense in the league. Especially on 3rd downs!

That seems right. When we're able to throw the ball, we're unable to run the ball. When we're able to run the ball, we're unable to throw the ball.
