Sounds like a law firm but lets talk about some positives going into next year.
Josh Morgan has really played some good football the last month or so, he has become so much more consistant catching the football and looks like a really good future #2 WR. Michael Crabtree...We sometimes forget this kid missed all of training camp and the first month and a half of the season. He is probably going to finish up with 50+ catches, 600+yds and a couple of TD's for the season. I remember when he signed most people thought it would be a great rookie season for him if he had 20+ catches, some even said 10+ catches some even said it would be a great rookie season if he doesen't get hurt. Not only has Crabtree played well but he has been our #1 WR and has been facing #1 cornerbacks since he got into the lineup and often times I have seen him being double teammed. Just think about it how much better Crabtree will be with a full off-season under his belt, a training camp under his belt and working in the same system and same quarterback for another year. I think Crabtree is going to be scary good next year and along with Josh Morgan will give us a very good WR duo for several years to come. The question is can Jason Hill or Brandon Jones step up and be a good #3 WR. IMO, we need a burner in the slot to compliment Crabs and Morgan and im not sure Hill or Jones are burners, in fact I know they are not.
But the bottom line the future is bright with Crabtree, Morgan and Vernon Davis and I think Alex Smith can be successful with these weapons its just a matter of how much we can improve the offensive line in the off-season.

I agree with everything. The interesting thing for next year is who will be #3 behind Morgan? Will it be Hill or will it be Jones or maybe some new guy.

For the first time in a LONG time WR is not one of this team's primary areas of need.

You can bet the team will do everything to upgrade the offensive line, in free agency AND the draft. The only question is will we have a new offensive line coach....

Forget to add in Delaine Walker, he is a terrific receiver, as a tight end-WR-H-Back, etc. We got some weapons.

I wasn't either until about the last 5 or 6 games. He has played really solid and more consistant, I do not remember him dropping any balls the last month or so. He is also a TERRIFIC blocker.

funny that you mention D. Walker. When he did something bad in a game I would scream "stop giving him the ball and give it to VD and give me some damn FF points" And when he did something good I would scream "yeaaa gooo goo goooooo" and after he was tackled I would say "now give the ball to VD and get me some FF points" now that the FF season is over I say give it to Walker and VD

Walker sucks at finishing his routes though.

When did he do something bad? Delaine Walker seems to catch the football everytime it is thrown to him (makes tough catches look easy) and always seems to get positive yards after the catch. He is like a runningback with the ball in his hands.

I would say right now all of our WR's-TE's such at finishing their routes and going back and fighting for the ball. Well Crabtree has shown he can adjust his body and come back for the football but yeah all these guys can still improve their route running but I do think that will come with time and more experince in the same system and working with the same QB.
