We wouldnt throw to vd, because coaches dont like to be seen running up the score, going for a late game td = running up the score.

when its a record I am sure they wouldnt take it as a Diss

Just giving VD motivation to get better and own the record, not back into the record

I can't hate on those play call (I can and will on the play calling for 3 quarters)
but you can't be throwing it around the score being what it is, that disrespectful.

I'd feel a lot worse for VD if it weren't for 3-4 (or more) dropped balls in the endzone over the course of the season.

Good point Chico I forgot in hit his hands THEN his face mask - have to be fair.

And no I don't think they should throw the ball to get Vernon the record - that is just s**te - no belchick actions here.

As much as I would like Duke to get the record he's TIED it. And that's good in my book. Duke had MULTIPLE chances in the End Zone all season long. This record would have been his already if he woud have caught at least one of them.

I'm not mad at all about not going for it here.

It would also not have as much credibility given the current score. No matter how slow the Offense built up to this.
