Ever since last week's loss, I've been in a funk as far as niner football is concerned. I don't know, but I see nothing to look forward to. Now it's 7 years and no playoffs, and really why should I expect next year to be different? Yeah, yeah continuity, but is that enough? Is having Raye coming back really supposed to make that much of a difference? The best he's ever produced is a 9-7 team I believe, and all we can do is speculate that Alex and the offense will get better.

We still have the same questions marks from 6 years ago, being o-line, QB, pass rush, etc. Yeah, we've gotten some talent, but with those glaring holes still present, I don't see how playoffs should be expected. I remember back in the day it was SB or bust, so it's hard for me to believe this is the same franchise. It pains me hearing fans from other teams say things like, "That was in the past. The niners suck." Don't get me wrong, I'll be a niner fan throughout life and even death, but I see no light at the end of the tunnel. I want this team to be the best in the NFL again, but when is that day ever going to come? So basically I'm asking for someone to give me some hope, and maybe lend me a candle for traversing in this tunnel.

I do get bummed out about the state of our franchise, but when that happens I just look around at my cowboy friends and sit back with glee as they have heart attacks ever year about this time....
All my hopes for a great 2010 season ended when Jed annouced that no major changes would happen. Until Jed sacks up and gets rid of Scot this is what we can expect, .500 football +/- a game from year to year.

i feel your pain, yeah hopefully McClueless gets some gems in the draft this year or we are doomed for 8-8 again, im hoping anthony davis and joe haden, and peppers in free agency.
Im looking forward to next years playoff run.

MehCloughan = The Peter Principle

The Peter Principle is the principle that "In a Hierarchy Every Employee Tends to Rise to His Level of Incompetence." It was formulated by Dr. Laurence J. Peter and Raymond Hull in their 1969 book The Peter Principle, a humorous treatise which also introduced the "salutary science of Hierarchiology", "inadvertently founded" by Peter. It holds that in a hierarchy, members are promoted so long as they work competently. Sooner or later they are promoted to a position at which they are no longer competent (their "level of incompetence"), and there they remain, being unable to earn further promotions. This principle can be modeled and has theoretical validity.[1] Peter's Corollary states that "in time, every post tends to be occupied by an employee who is incompetent to carry out his duties" and adds that "work is accomplished by those employees who have not yet reached their level of incompetence".
Of course I'm disappointed in another playoff-less season but what can you do? I'm going to enjoy the next two games because after that it's a longgggg offseason.

No, that was actually a porn movie.

What have YOU been watching in your spare time? HMMMM!!!????
we are sooooooooooo close bro. wait until the offseason is over, we'll have some new guys ready to play.
I'm bummed too......but my girl got me a gore jersey for x-mas so that cheered me up. I look at our team like last years saints or packers who both finished 8-8.
I'm bummed that we keep saying we need to fix te Oline and every year it's the same Swiss cheese line.
If we lose to the Lions or don't score at least 40 points on them I'll be bummed......for like an hour.
