Ricky Schmitt's the guy. I'm a little sad by this choice, but not because I don't believe in him. Ricky Schmitt would be the first Niner place kicker in a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time not to have a first name that has less than 4 letters. Maybe he can just go by Rick.
Also, did you know that before Joe Nedney, the last 49ers placekicker with a 3 letter first name was Ray Wersching? And between Ray Wersching and Joe Nedney, every 49er placekicker's first name was 4 letters. Think about it:
