We have two games left and have a good chance to go 8-8 (and improvement over last year). Beyond this there is two games left and then:
1) Battle finally is released from the team
2) Mark Roman is released from the team
3) Grandpa (Issac Bruce) retires (a good career no doubt)
4) Shaun Hill is released (it is time to develop Nate)
Anyone else.......
I say we tank and get a better draft pick
I'm with you these two last games are worthless! Start Davis and let him get some experience please Sing!
You guys are spineless b***hes. Anyone who wants to end the season on a losing note is dumb. The fact that you still think ONE draft pick can save our team is also naive and dumb. As for starting Davis, you are really exposing your football IQ with that crap.
Oh yes....Angry I am but feeling better after vomiting....

Winning means having a better record than last year and getting to 500. Not a big deal since we aren't going to the playoffs. I would like to see the Niners trade up for Ndamukong Suh.

One? We got two bro! Haven't you heard the phrase we build through the draft not free agency! The season is over and we are still rebuilding So before you start exposing anyone's football IQ I really hope you sit and think what you are saying. The next two games don't mean a god darn thing and you know it! Moral/Worthless victories is all we had this year and will just hurt our chance of drafting a better prospect. It's just common sense! We need better players to become a better team!

F**k that. I got a bet going at the Peppermill that we'll win more than 7 games.

Yes... the myth of winning by getting high draft picks. You can only do this maybe a couple of times. Then it starts costing you. While NE (like the 49ers of old) gets the value players and have financial flexibility we get stuck paying unproven rookies about 10 - 40 mil.
This is not basketball...

Did you even watch the game today?? Talk about football IQ--you flat out don't have any. The good news from today's game is that ALEX SMITH IS NOT OUR QB OF THE FUTURE!! Playoff caliber teams have QBs that that can read defenses and throw under pressure and on the run. The last two games against playoff caliber teams Smith has thrown 5 INT!! He will NEVER take us into the playoffs much less a championship. Quit blaming the O line--that is c#@p!!
It's time to see what Nate Davis can do against teams that aren't that great. It's time again for some competition at the QB spot. If you think we don't need help at the QB spot you better go back to football 101. If Davis shows up in the next couple games it means we don't have to spend a high pick on a QB and that would be a very big deal.

We are what our record says we are...nothing more, nothing less. Do not take Detroit and St. Louis for granted. We'll have to play well to win.
Talk about "tanking" the last two games just to improve our draft picks is kind of a reach as Singletary would never allow it, ever. That's simply not in his nature, nor for that matter anybody playing on the team these days. They try, every play, even when they're not successful. For that I give the coaches and the players credit.
Forget Suh or Berry. They won't be there when we pick (we're not trading up), and we need OL and CB help more than we need another QB. We just need to keep getting incrementally better and we'll be in the playoffs...next year.
You gotta believe...

And we have TWO 1st rounders that we could use ONE to package and move up if need be with a 2nd or 3 rounder this year and possibly next years 1st if the prospect is worth jumping higher to begin with. 8-8 would still get us to around 10. EXACTLY where we were last year. We still have to see how the Panthers fare with 2 left.
So NO no tanking the remaining games.
