I think the point is we have an up and coming group emerging on the team and the future looks good.

U were saying?
Crabtree > White?
One of them is about to post 3 consecutive 1000 yard receiving seasons. The other has not played a full season.
U were saying?
And actually, Gore is not better than Turner, nor is VD better than Gonzalez.
Tony Gonzalez may have lost a step, but he still gets open better than any TE in the game. He still has some of the best hands out of ANY receiver in the league. He is still a top 5 TE. Vernon Davis is not, though, he may be if he can work on running more fluid routes and improving his hands.
Turner and Gore are similar backs. I wouldn't say that one is better than the other.

i didn't take oakland out of there and that trio is not a joke. the whole team might be but they have some solid players and that trio is a part of the group.

BTW, Maiocco wrote "There are no plans to play veteran receiver Isaac Bruce this week or in the future. Here's how Singletary described Bruce's current role with the team:
"Isaac and myself sat down and looked at some of the younger guys trying to take a step, and (Bruce) just made a decision, 'Why don't I just stay here, stay around? I don't have to dress. I'm good with that. I can help these younger guys.' I think that's the role he's playing right now, and I'm very thankful that's the attitude he's taking." "
Ijust think that is a classy move by a classy player. Jed, take note. That is the ONLY way to get us back to domination: A classy team, run by a classy organization, with classy players who will almost knock you out, give you a snot-bubbler, then help you get up. Bravo!
Great post! Jed York has this franchise on the way back up!

that is really it.
Atlanta's trio Turner, Gonzalez, and White is pretty strong too
Gonzalez is getting old, he's not as dangerous as VD is
Turner is the s**t just like Gore
White is very good but doesn't have the same kind of upside Crabtree does
LT is a full notch below Gore
Gates is great but VD is just starting to blow up and I believe he's approaching Gates level now
Jackson see White
Addai see Gore
White hard to tell how much Manning is helping him, Crabtree will at least reach his level
Clark good hands but doesn't compare to VD
100% this

Once Crabtree and Alex have a full off-season to work together, they should have the kind of chemistry to make a ton of big plays next year. Alex and Vernon are pretty much there already...and Gore, we know when he gets some decent blocking, he'll make his share of big plays. So, yeah, I can see them being as good a trio as any in the league.

Gore/Davis/Crabtree
1.Alex Smith (if he finishes the season strong)
2.Nate Davis(deserves a shot to be starter with 9,000+ yds passing on his college resume)
3.Shaun Hill(keep em around, He's earned it)

Frank Gore is not a top 5 running back guys. How many top 5 RB's consistently get caught in open space they way Frank does? He's a solid back, a top 1/3 back, but he's not top 5 no way.

I can't wait till next year. With a new O linemen and pass rusher via the draft and a whole off season of Alex and Crabs and Co. we're going to be something to be reckened with starting in 2010.

Smith....not so much
well he has been gone for 2 years
brady was gone for 1 whole year and he is definetally not doing as good as his previous year and when peyton manning got injured in offseason and got surgery he started of with a alosing record going into 3 or 4 games not too mention that they have much better wepons and a much much better o line
i think with more than 3 seconds in pocket and an offseason to acually be with the starters he will be a top 10 qb
