is that of the starters? how about not age but years in the nfl, there are some older rookies. I want to see the same chart experience wise not just age. But still all the same new coaching staff, hopefully we play strong through the rest of the year and we have some continuity going into next year - that is what makes us a young team no continuity from year to year.

What gets me with all these Singletary haters is this, if he was such a bad coach then why are we doing better this year then we did last year? Its basically the same team we had last year plus Michael Crabtree. If he was such a horrible coach wouldn't he be doing a lot worst?

i'm tired of the loosing too , but you can't tell me they aren't playing better. we're turning the corner, if you're a true fan then you have to notice. your hatin like this is the past few year's niners or we're like the raiders, lions, or browns. when the yorks first took over ya i would agree but then they actually got a gm with some creditability & has got us good players that can be great one day. they also are spending too. as far as coaches go, this season isn't all on him & he has the team going in the right direction. lastly to win a superbowl you have to be a playoff team. a good way to tell they're a playoff team is how they play on the field with the best. when they were on the field, they hung & if they knew how to finish they would've got the w. again a true fan will notice ALEAST that. this is a playoff talented team. they just need to learn how to handle the clutch situations & finish, which i think they can do. if they some how come up short next year then they should blew the team up. doing it know would be premature & could be a mistake. like I said before, with the offseason to think about everything(coaches & players alike), FA & the draft, continuity, chemistry, finding a team balance, & experience from this year will help them to get over the hump & back to the playoffs next year GO NINERS!!! in the 2010 season.

this may not be a young team as far as age, but as far as continuity & chemistry it is. the D may have it but the offense doesn't. the offense is definitely a big part of the team winning. we have a new OC, which means a new system to learn, starting qb, new #1 wr, a TE finally coming into his own, all this mixed together is a young team chemistry & continuity wise. most of the starters are young in the system which is kinda like a young team. even on the D, most of the time before this year, the team was never really in games so handling clutch situation maybe new to them too. GO NINERS!!! in 2010

Why are you giving Singletary only 1 year? Everybody is sick of losing. If the almighty Bill Cowher came in or Mike Shanahan came in would you be asking for them to be fired if they finished below .500 in their first year?
