Why we have lost so many CLOSE GAMES

Allan Rossum has been cut by two NFL teams in less than half of an NFL season. Stop saying he has anything to do with it.
vikings Defense
Texans - special teams and hill's first half performance
Green Bay defense
seattle dropped passes

The coach mostly. Plus drops, fumbles, reverses and fumbles when we don't need it. Poor timeout and clock management.

That's player performance

Whos job is it to have players ready?

How does a coach ready a player not to fumble?

Titans game was on Smith 3INTs 1fumble lost. Two late in the game killed it.
A big reason for the losses comes from the fact that this team is only willing to play up or down to the other team's ability. They play Minnesota IN Minnesota and should've won--they played up to their potential and lost a close one. Same with the Colts. If the 9ers brought their Minn or Indy game to Houston, Tennessee, Seattle, GB, or Atlanta WE WIN. When they stop playing down to these crappy teams we go to the NFC championship game. Let's hope they bring their A game on Monday against the Cards.

yup srry forgot about that one
Maybe the team is playing at it's max level or close to it and just isn't good enough.

That's the frustrating part of this season. In most games it doesn't look like they have played their max potential. There are many plays that could have easily been made to give us a couple of wins here and there. And they aren't being made for a number of different reason. A dropped pass here, a missed block there, errant throw and a fumble there. I think the players themselves are frustrated, and so is Singletary. The only thing I can come down with is it's an inexperience crew both on offense and defense but with a lot of talent.

How about our long and very deep culture of being losers? Maybe Simpletary's archaic training camp has our players burned out by now. Usually losing a lot of close games means we are being out coached as well. It seems to be a different reason every week.

IMO, when it gets to crunch time, this team looks to its stars but they haven't stepped up because we only have two, Gore and Willis. VD is too streaky and Crabtree needs time. Scot's weak drafts and lack of prime time player acquisitions have hurt this team. Niners need more gamechangers, Oline, FS, OLB, a second quality RB, etc... We have had chances to get much needed game changers(Desean Jackson) and not 5 year projects(Balmer) but let the opportunities slip by. What you see happening now is the result of a GM that doesn't know how to do his job very well.

Are people still b***hing about Allen Rossum. What exactly has he done since getting cut that makes you think he actually would have done any better than the returners we currently have?
It is not important with them Arnaz Battle and Mark Roman cuz they are suck and mess up mofo!
We have been outcoached virtually every game. The OL coach has no business being in the nfl, the HC is just 4 yrs shy in asst DCing, and being DC for another 4 yrs before getting the HC nod, the players are playing poorly(many, not all, esp p-52, staley when healthy, and alex is coming around), the D calls are atrocious, playing not to lose(prevent) instead of trying to win (Vikings game is most prominent), but there are others we all know, and our guys are not focused...again, that is on the HC. Halftime adjustments? surely you jest...we don't have any...that work , that is.

So put it all in a package, and i am ready for next season, but with a spring house cleaning which removes every coach out there, starting at the top, w/ a great HOF player, great motivater, who unfortunately hasn't the foggiest idea of how to coach, and we have lost at least 4, maybe 5 games this yr, courtesy of poor coaching.

In answer to your question, it is all coaching, and dam poor coaching at that.
Where's the "give the opposition the ball back with 01:00 left in the game" option.

INJURIES....it helps that we didn't have clements and BOTH TACKLES.
Clements could of made a difference in every game he has been out.
Also not having the injured Rossum all he has to do is catch could of saved us 2 games now.

OL has been the biggest problem in my opinion, at least in the spread alex gets rid of the ball very quickly to cover up our OL performing poorly
