That game in 2007 still depresses me ... Ever since that game all I can think of when I watch Alex play is his front leg locked or is he getting better ... Hopefully he spends the offseason working on his mechanics and reaching out to other QBs on what they see or what he can work on...

I hope Alex doesn't give a chance to run his mouth again. That sh*t was annoying.

I'm not sure if its indicative of the future. But it doesn't sound like Jaws is drooling over Smith's ability or potential, or extremely praising Smith's play.
He indicates Smith has improved, but doesn't sound like Jaws is sure if Smith can be the franchise QB that we picked him to be.

I reckon they're told not to say "NFL".

Maybe, but I reckon he's just an annoying kind of guy.

The mechanic issue I put the blame on Nolan, McCloughan and Smith. How could anyone in the organization see Smith and say "Nah, he doesn't need a full time QB coach". There is no way a qb with that many technique flaws doesn't seek help on his own either. They all screwed up.

I'm pretty sure Jaws has 20x more QBing know how than Mike Johnson.

I actually like Jaws and I like his comments on QB's. He is very knowledgeable and it's good to hear comments from a person who really knows football.

Ummm... Good for you?
Pointing something out once is a demonstration of knowledge. Pointing the same thing out all night while using the Madden marker is simply annoying.

Mike Johnson said in one of the article that he don't want to over coach the qb. I think that's a good thing. At some point you have to let the guy play naturally and not have to think about every little thing when he's on the field. That would become robotic and detrimental.
If that stiff leg is a problem this time around, I don't see Smith's passes goes wildly inaccurate. In fact I see most of his pass comes out pretty good and is there for his receivers to make the play. It's correctable and I don't think it's all that detrimental as it's made out to be.

Jaws makes way too big a deal out of that. The last time he saw Alex he had a torn up shoulder he was trying to play through. Of course his mechanics were all messed up. Yours would be too if your shoulder was all torn up. And Jaws himself on old highlight videos often has a stiff knee.
Alex is healthy now and he is throwing accuarte. It's the other guys who are messing up big time.
