What six players in our starting lineups should be backups?

Alex Smith. There's only on QB on the roster with a winning record and t's not Alex Smith. Alex seemingly will always be a day late and a dollar short, choking when it counts the most. I like the guy and wish it wasn't true. But it is.

Incredibly ignorant post.

Lol I was just going to ignore it.

Who choked in Seattle? Vernon Davis and Frank Gore. It wasn't Alex. He played well enough to win. Vernon drops the winning TD in the end zone when it bounces off his hands; would have hit him in the face mask if it hadn't bounced off his hands. Frank Gore fumbles at the Seattle 20 late in the 4th quarter with the game tied at 17 leading to Seattle's winning field goal. Oh, but Alex lost the game.

My list is made up with the assumption that we acquire an upgrade through FA or maybe the draft at each position. (fantasy, I know)

Goldson
Morgan
Snyder
Haralson
Soap
Lawson

T. Brown if we are not assuming that nate and spencer are starters.

I would add Lewis to that list.

Wow what a piece of work--you'd probably be saying this after Montana won his 4th super bowl. Go back to the Raider board

As for the 6 that need to sit it would have to be Snyder, Baas, Goldson, Lewis, Morgan, and Battle when he's returning punts. With a good FA and draft we're gonna upgrade all this.
Sopoaga
Haralson
Lewis
Golsdon
Snyder
Morgan
Morran Norris
Rachal
Baas

Wait, that is 9, I am sorry, turn your computer upside down and it iwll read 6.

Pass Rush, OL, Safety and WR all off season needs. Same as 2009 off season.
Synder, Sims, Rachal, and Baas.

Sims has played really well this year. He's the one backup who is a keeper. We should extend him because our starting OT's always get hurt.

Technically, they all chocked. Just that Alex choked the least.

Someone was bound to do it. But at least he "likes the guy."

yeah, because Hill was really working for us.

if wins/losses were solely determined by what QB was playing, then great, Hill is the man. but they have alot less to do with QB play than people think. its the trenches and the turnover battle.

QB's and coaches always get too much of the blame for both winning and losing.
Chilo
Synder
Baas
Norris
Haralson
Sopoaga
Lewis

goldson, baas, rachal, bly, snyder (or whoever the RT is)
  • tmg808
  • Info N/A
Brown
Lewis (downside of career... all the injuries)
Goldson (Maybe try SS but needs to be a more focused tackler)

Bass
Chilo
Haralson ( He is more of pass rush specialist than every down LB)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Snyder I felt in the past was good as a Guard.
Just six? I'd say much of the o-line but mostly b/c Baas should be playing RG where he excelled and the coaching scheme blows. Its hard to say b/c so many players have come here that were good, left, and are now good again or who were here initially, decent and go elsewhere and play great. So under the current coaching regime, this is a tough one to answer.
