I find it hilarious that people think we started going spread because of SMith. That he's only functional in a shotgun spread formation.
Both TD's yesterday were from under center and one off playaction.
Smith is put in the shotgun spread because we CAN'T RUN THE FOOTBALL. and we CAN"T PASS PROTECT in pro style offense....
All this talk about Smith not performing under center in a pro set formation is laughable.

It's nice when you can see it on the field from Smith and make the decision for yourself instead of going by someone else' perception

Brady and Manning are in the top three qbs in the league right now, sure HOFs. Of course Smith isn't as good as them. Smith is getting better, and if he learns a system (like Norvs) he can succeed. Right now, he obviously feels comfortable in a spread but if he receives good coaching he can adapt to a different offense
