Fact: Sims has done a great job filling in for Staley.
Fact: He's more comfortable at LT than RT.
Fact: Niners have invested in Staley to be their LT.
Fact: Rachal and Snyder are getting better.
Based on these facts, it doesn't make good sense to make more changes. One of the things that's hampered offensive progress has been the OL's lack of cohesiveness. It looks like it's starting to happen, so I believe in the adage if it's not broken, don't fix it.
Having said all that, I still believe we need to draft a top OT and OG. I'd also like to see us re-sign Pashos. We need a stronger overall OL and the way you get that is to acquire better players and coach 'em up.

Staley can handle the rest of the year at right tackle.
That could be an idea. Has Staley ever played RT ?

At the very least it will help out our depth again in case something happens. I don't see how Staley can play any better than Sims has lately though. Our pass blocking seems to have settled down since using more shotgun, but the run blocking is pretty much a lost cause with this group.

Wasn't it our right guard that was causing the major problems for us?
