I say we can with the talent we have the cap room we have go into the draft picking solely based on the talent of the player available and not on our needs. With cap room we should be able to add to our O-line and find a pass rusher!

nah, never get tired of it, love the love i get, at first i got slamed by the zone, they said i was a fraud. But now people see this and love it, and its usualy dead on, not 100% but close.

anyway, we have plenty of money for players, i would love 1 big name guy, and a few 2nd-3rd tier guys, but dont overspend on mediocre players.

we need to continue with building thru the draft, but webetter hit on our picks better, and yes thats a shot at Scoty,

I would like another Justin Smith type pickup, with the same results. I would like to get a few more quality backups but still hit on 70%+ on our draft picks.

Regarding our draft picks. I have seen some real poor picks - our current backup center, our Punt returner, and possibly Baas and Snyder - poor to mediocre. I have also seen some good picks - V. Davis, Lawson, Willis, Crabtree, Staley, Brown, Goldson, and hopefully A. Smith. If Smith turns into a good to quality QB then our draft strategy will have been basically a successful one - above 50% starters. So hopefully this upcoming offseason will be equally successful. But I think a lot of our difficulty has been Nolan's reluctance to play rookies, and his loyalty to veterans. I think these two points, at least, have set apart Singletary. He will play whoever needs to be played to give us the best chance to win.
Help me out some one. Is it the 2010 season that the current labor agreement ends? If so, does the whole cap deal end too? If so, why not spend like a drunken sailor on talent this spring? Also, would it be wise to try and rework the contracts of any player the mtg. deems valuable? I would be thankful for any info you guys have for me.

my biggest thing, is 1. if we spend buck wild and there is a cap in furture yrs we are screwed. and 2. This class isnt worth spending wild on.

Jahri Evans OG NO RFA

all pro guard must get then draft OT and Taylor Mays in first round

Use taylor mays as strong safety Michael Lewis isn't getting any younger.

We'd have a lot of cap room! So without the CBA we'd have little cap room?

No CBA=no salary cap.

Wow! With that much cap room, the 49ers could buy a SB team. Jed better be ready to open his purse. The natives are getting restless. Taking out their pitchforks and sharpening the guillotine blade.

Thats the problem, his mommie wont let him.

Not sure i wanna spend crazy in this market, i see 8-12 potential franchised players.

Peppers, Sproles, Kampman, Franklin, A.Bryant, Vandcen Bosch, C.Rogers, Dunta Robinson, Wilfork, Hampton, Seymour and Atogwe. So thats 12,lol.

Plus the RFA's, like, D'Qwell Jackson, Dumervil, Dawan Landry, Leon Washington, Pierre Thomas, Jerious Norwood, Kolby Smith, Orton, Jason Campbell, Baas, Jahri Evans, Kirk Morrison, Marlin Jackson and Tramon Williams.
Yup plus we need to resign Willis and possibly Franklin.

not only that but we need to extend V.Davis/Gore and possibly Smith that and just filling the roster plus paying 2 first round draft picks is going to eat up alot of that money. after that we should have some to spend on FA, I expect 2 notable FA's.
Sign Dumervil. He was a 2nd day pick so I would forfiet that tender to get his ass.

what?

They can place the highest tender which would be a 1st and 3rd if he's an RFA. Besides, I think he'll get franchised.
