Thats the problem, his mommie wont let him.

Not sure i wanna spend crazy in this market, i see 8-12 potential franchised players.

Peppers, Sproles, Kampman, Franklin, A.Bryant, Vandcen Bosch, C.Rogers, Dunta Robinson, Wilfork, Hampton, Seymour and Atogwe. So thats 12,lol.

Plus the RFA's, like, D'Qwell Jackson, Dumervil, Dawan Landry, Leon Washington, Pierre Thomas, Jerious Norwood, Kolby Smith, Orton, Jason Campbell, Baas, Jahri Evans, Kirk Morrison, Marlin Jackson and Tramon Williams.
It'd be cool if we could get Jerious Norwood. He'd be our 2nd back and return guy.
juluis peppers will not be franchised again and I think we need to get him and give him anything he wants. He wants out of carolina for the simple fact that he wants to be a rush linebacker in a 3-4 scheme. We need a rush linebacker in our 3-4 sceme and he is one of the best pass rushers in the league bar none. Give him the contract he is looking for and never look back.

I dont agree he is our piece on the front seven if he commands the top money in the league, especially since hes not getting any younger. We need a franchise sack master and wouldnt call JP even close to that. I'd have a good feeling if we could sign him to two years only, and bring in a draftee (like Eric Norwood) who could start in place of Manny, who I was so WRONG about

Somebody is going to get these top franchise players, if we have fifty plus million, then we must get some help. The draft choices that we've had hasn't worked very well in large. We just can't continue in rebuilding trough draft anymore. Got to get some outside help. This is where York's regime is soooo different than Eddie D's.

wow thats a crap load of money hopefully we spend some of it, wisely. I'm thinking 2 or 3 really solid guys and then just focus on the draft, maybe work out a trade for a lineman or a QB maybe?

Still AB, you caved to fast man... lol

agreed, we could very well trade a 2010 1st and a 2011 3rd for peppers or someone else on that list.

Im sorry, but no way for choosing your logic here. It seems that trade would plummit our pick value.

I could see more of a trade with the Patriots if they were to resign Mankins. Then by offering our latter 1st for their earliest 2nd rounder and Mankins, to me it would be great. I could see it being quality for both teams. I would be ecstatic

i really doubt any team especially the Pats would take that deal. If they were to franchise him, and then trade him, they wont trade a pick with him, just wouldnt happen.

Ecstatic! For that deal ecstatic doesn't go anywhere near far enough! But putting ourselves in their shoes for a second........

We only have 7 players making real (above average) NFL money! We have a lot of cash to play with next year. I wonder why didn't we spend our limit this year, was it because there wasn't anyone to spend on? We could sign like 5 players to Clents type contracts next year, correct? I know it wouldn't happen but just saying it could feels really good!
Any idea where a payroll of $86,456,459 falls in line with the rest of the NFL payrolls?
