To help out the O-line. When you run the spread you decrease the amount of defenders that they can stack in the box. Not only does this make communication along the O-line so much easier it opens more lanes for Gore. If you were to check the YPG in the spread and not there will be a drastic difference. Our O-line is struggling and the spread simplifies the blocking calls and plays to the strength of our QB which is the most important position on the field. Lets go Mike. Time to make the switch.

I felt like there were nice passes that Smith made that were well defended. It wasn't like they were wide open the way we were leaving their receivers most of the time
