...Tell that to the superbowl ring he has now.

rodgers is better than smith right now
if theyre draft positions would switch there is no doubt that alex would be better than rodgers now
no qb ( esoecially developmental) can go through 7 different OC and unstable o line
where the other qb had 1 OC and learned under brett favre

No, Alex went through all the coordinators and can't get any to work! Rodgers got the exact coordinator like Alex and won a SuperBowl! Alex also got the same offense as Rivers and for some crazy reason Rivers got it to work! Even Cutler got the same offense as Alex and it seemed to work! Do you see a pattern yet?

Some people really don't know football. Rodgers delivered in the SB, he did not wilt in the biggest game of football. The Packers rode his shoulders, and other members of the pack delivered. They had to win it from the sixth seed in the nfc. Win it all on the road.
I love the 49ers but refuse to be a blind homer and will give credit where credit is due. Alex can't even win games in the regualar season against playoff teams. Rodgers may not be Marino, but Marino did not win the big one.
If you are going to make a statement like this then back it up, in this case there is no validity to this statment-all pro analyst and people who really know football will laugh at you.

lol
You guys act as if we drafted Rodgers, he wouldn't be a bust.
Alex Smith = Aaron Rodgers.
Both of them are the same with the same skills,
different coaches , different teams IS ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

I don't think so. Rodgers shows killer instinct and his heart is Much bigger! He's just a better QB any way you wanna look at it....

LOL. You make it seem like all QBs are clones of each other. Not true AT ALL.
Thats like saying David Carr would have took his team to the Superbowl and won it if he was in Aaron Rodgers' place.

He threw 65 yds to the running back, hitch passes to the WRs that turned into 1st downs, He didn't go up the field. The 49ers Defense made him look better than he was today. Alex Smith went 16/23 last week, difference is the Bears tackled. 49ers played soft coverage and tackled poorly.
To me he is a JT O'Sullivan that doesn't fumble. He has been sacked 10 more times than anyone in the league. He is just a slightly above average QB on a good team. The Packers went 13-3 two years ago. To say he made the 49ers pay is ridiculous, the Packers were a better team than the 49ers today, and it wasn't on Arron Rodgers shoulders.
Lol

First of all stop drinking
You may have a point that they were on different teams. However Whether you sit or start right away, You have to win when you have opportunities. Alex has screwed up numerous opportunities to win. You can talk about changing coaches and OC's all you want but, if you win the coaches and coordinators are less likely to leave or get fired. Rodgers makes better decisions with the football, and his release is quicker than most in the NFL. Alex is no where close to that. So your argument of both guys having the same skills doesn't hold water.

That's it!!! Alex Smith CAN'T comeback to this team anymore. All it will do is remind all of us of Nolan and McCloughan's incompetence. It's time we move on!!!
