Well until Smith has a better year statistically and record wise you will keep hearing it so get used to it.

Who knows?
I respect your opinion.
When we had given up the most sacks last year everyone on NT defended saying it was the Line. "How could any QB deal with this". Yet, Rodgers threw up and down the field on us today. Seriously. The guy has what like 3-4 300 yard games? What else has to be said?

FOR THE LAST TIME, they are not Clones of each other.... we don't know what Rodgers would have did if he was here....Rattay was able to score points with the same weapons Alex had, so I will not accept that we had the WORSE personal in NFL History like some try to scream.
Rodgers was more "NFL Ready".
Rodgers had a better Arm.
Rodgers was in a tougher conference.
Rodgers was the better QB coming into the draft....all Alex had over him (by Alex homers and 9er FOs perspective) was these "words".... Potential, Upside.....HA! Dumbest S*** I have ever heard....
I will forever hate the word "UPSIDE" again can someone PLEASE tell me WTF does that mean??? and has Alex shown a glimpse of this "Upside"

Agreed, just another smith apologist thread. I am not getting into the whole shoulda, coulda drafted thing but man If Alex could have put together a drive or three in the first half Green Bay might not have been on the field enough to score 23 before halftime.
Time to look elsewhere I believe. Than again...that's just me and I don't call the shots.

I have no idea what you are talking about. He's going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the nfl for a long time.

I would not mind a QB who dumps it off for 300 yards!

Dude to think Rodgers would be as successful as he is today after going through the same thing Alex has is ludicrous. I think 99% of NFL scouts, experts, and coaches would agree with that.
You're right, they arent clones. But Rodgers CLEARLY benefited from his situation, as opposed to Alex. I just dont know how u dont see that.

Don't forget, Smith could jump on one foot better than Rogers.

Why Rodgers is better than Smith was evident all day today,
Rodgers, who has the worst O-line in the NFL, he does get sacked more than Alex, Dumped the ball of the avoid pressure, he recognizes the pressure understands who should be open as dictated by the direction of the pressure and dumps the ball off, that what real QBs do.
It is what Alex can only seem to do from the gun, if we had the right RB, and o-line to run more spread it would be less of a problem, The reason Alex will continue to look bad is we will not trade frank Gore, and Bass, and Rachel, to build an offense around Alex.
Alex needs to develop better footwork in his drop back so he can focus on the pressure and learn to dump the ball of faster... like Rodgers!
he did this a number of times....and on one key play where we blitzed him and he hit his TE for a key 1st down.....
there were posters blaming our Oline in the gameday thread because the Packers got pressure on Alex....when...... it was Shotgun 5 wide formation....WTF?? of course they are going to get pressure, Alex needs to read it and hit the open man..
on that play both CBs blitzed and left both of our WRs open on the right side....but Alex took too long to make a decisions.....and of course the same posters blamed the Oline for Blitz pressure from the edges.
Rodgers continues to impress me....for sure I thought he would atleast throw 1ints just from trying to stick it to us....but he played GREAT in the 1st half and McCarthy played held him back in early in the second half.
like someone posted, he was on pace for 500yards. after the 2nd qtr.

Yup Alex can't see the pressure and fails to dump it off, so the pressure never lets up!

Yup the press used to laugh us of as a "Dink and DUNK" offense, then we won a s**t load of games, and they called the west coast offense!
