Boone, we can keep him, but I doubt that he's better than Looney once Looney gets his fair chance..

In a thread today you think sams is the missing element for us,, that tells me all i need to know about you. right you make those moves and see what the locker room does,,,, it makes no sense to move players which are important blocks in our success for the rest of the season,,, right get rid of vernon and let vance take over. you act like we should start tanking the season and have a whole sale garage sale. we are right in the mix for the division, why would you want to move all these players? i know you hate about 90 per cent of the team but still i also luv how you pooh pooh vernons injury,, you do not have a damn clue about it or how it is affecting him

If VD is really in pain, then the best thing to do is to stay out of the game.
We already have a big name WR who really doesn't do much on the field nowadays.
We don't want a big name TE who does nothing as well. Very disappointed in this guy this year.

Frankly, McDonald is avg too at this stage in his career. The only person who has shown some potential in the TE position is Carrier. I hope the coaches give him enough chances so we can know for sure if his talent shows up consistently and not some flash in the pan. We've got enough of those around the NFL.

yeah everyone knows that a bad back affects your hands more than anything, running and blocking not at all.

A back can affect you in different ways as every back injury may be caused by different things, it may be muscle, bone, spinal or nerve. It may be his sciatic nerve playing up.

I work with an Orthopedic Spine Specialist. People do not realize how much your back affects your entire body. A back injury anything other than a very minor strain could turn an NFL player into an absolute shell of themselves. The ability to have normal range of motion and strength of the extremities can be severely impacted. Vernon should not be out on the field unless fully healthy. He's not helping as a decoy, and that back problem will negate any or his normal attributes: strength/leverage, speed/agility, and normal range of motion. Not to mention I doubt he wants to absorb any big hits and have his season over.
