"I apologize for hiring Jimmy Raye."

and end with. Im stepping down as head coach!

This!
Also,

1) Knows time management
2) Can make adjustments faster
3) Can actually coach (WR coach sucks)
4) Knows how to attack the opposing defense --- they don't seem to have a plan on how to attack the other side
5) Knows when to challenge

You know better than this, Camper
After being proved more than once that we play better (both run and pass) with a spread formation, to waste the entire first half with two-back sets is INEXCUSABLE and downright FIREABLE!
im starting to think the same thing, firing martz, hiring a retard like raye, cuting rossum, the marry go round at punt returner, questionable challenges, WTF man bring in holmgrem.

NO. He is still a rookie coach. His expectations are high. Higher than the talent we have on this team. IMO as a whole the team is better than last year despite the record. The defense continues to improve. Without a pass rusher and an effective offensive line its hard to expect much more.........

Every new coach deserves 3-5 years to put his system in place. Coach Singletary deserves at least that if not more. The ownership and senior management has promised 5 years to coach Singletary and honor that promise.

I have to disagree. The defense is average at best. The offense has no identity. In my opinion, that rah rah bulls**t only goes so far. Singletary has coached 19 games now, he's not a rookie coach anymore. The Niners have a lot of good pieces in place but they need to go in the direction of Holmgren running things and/or Shanahan to be the head coach. Enough of hearing about "promise". This team needs to make itself relevant again.

19 games......... Is that all he gets? Lets fire him now!!!! No need to wait to next year........

What is your argument to keep him around over a Shanahan?

My arguement is Sing hasn't been there long enough to say its time to bring in another Head Coach. If Shanahan is so great, why did Denver fire him. Why couldn't Shanahan win with the team he had?
bring in Mike Shanahan
apologize for being so stubborn in our style of offense when everybody knows that smith is a shotgun qb!!!!

The Niners won the Superbowl with Shanahan in 94 when he the OC. That was the time to bring him on as the Head Coach. His time has past.........

Well we've seen the decisions ownership and senior management have made over the past 7 years. I completely understand Jed had to hire Singletary after last season but he is showing himself to be lacking in game planning and x's and o's.
I expect he'll give us one when he's eventually fired.

The ownership and senior management did not have to hire coach Singletary. Coach Singletary was hired based on his experience and recommendations by coach Nolan and some members of the senior management team.

So far he has been doing heck of a job. Fans must be patient, it takes years for head coaches to put their imprint on a team.

Yorks are the worst owners in NFL, no wonder we have seven straight years of losing streak. Baby York is over his head and he has no balls to fire this moron and hire a real coach.
