Shaun Hill had a 300+ yard passing game last year in his 5th NFL start.

Just saying.

Under Martz' system. O'sullivan also had a 300 yard game last year. I dont think its an issue. Smith needs to finish up the year. If he sucks, the team moves on. At least they will know.
Who the hell cares? I am more concerned with win/loss than something as trivial as how many yards we pass for. By the way, all of those teams are passing oriented teams, we haven't been since Mooch was coach.

agree
Jay Cutler threw for over 300 yards against us.

That worked out well.

It almost goes hand in hand, Alex's win/loss isnt very pretty either. Yes we give him the rest of the year, but after that...I think we should know by then what we have in Alex. I want him to succeed. If he still cant lead this team to wins, we have to finally move on, and find another answer at QB. The 300 yard stat shows production, if he had more wins, it wouldnt matter.

The same way it did for JTO.
He threw for 206 in 2 quarters at Houston . . . so if you extrapolate you could say he's had one 400 yard game . . .
Agree with some here. Yards don't really mean squat, I am more concerned with completion %, rating, and 3rd down completion %... QB's always get over 300 yards and still lose...

there's a simple explanation : throws you make to the other team (called "interception" or "INT") don't count in your yards stats
Else he would have made it past 300 yards quite quickly ...
