The Crabtree play was a catch. I would have also challenged it.
It wasn't a catch. You gotta maintain possession once you hit the ground He had his feet in but didn't maintain possession .
he did. it was ripped out AFTER he had hit the ground.
someone get the clip!
I agree about the possession aspect of the play. However it wasn't a catch because his knee hit out of bounds
BEFORE HIS SECOND FOOT LANDED IN BOUNDS.

Don't think you noticed, but we won the game! Quit whining.
I would usually agree, but a game like this should have gone to the Bears. The niners did nothing to win this game other than catch 5 gift wrapped footballs from Jay Cutler. If he hadn't had such a lousy game the niners wouldn't have won. The last few weeks have highlighted some pretty big problems and it seems like Singletary and co. are either unaware or too stubborn to address them.
Wow...should have gone to the bears? their offense stunk it up last night just as ours...we did what it took to win and we did just that..damn we cant enjoy one win without someone complaining about SOMETHING
You really think we would have won if Cutler hadn't thrown it away 5 freaking times? Our defense played well, but you've got to be kidding me if you think the offense "did what it took to win". Against a weak team like the Bears we had to rely on a miracle (gift) turnover in the endzone with seconds left. If that had been caught by a Bear the Bears would have won and EVERYONE on the zone would be complaining. I'm all for being optimistic but you've got to be smoking something if you think there's anything encouraging about the play of our offense (especially the line) the past 3 weeks.
So do you always play would've/should've/could've? So we should've beat the Vikings and Colts. But we didn't but beat the Bears. Who cares if you beat a "weak" team or a "strong team". I bet Saints fans aren't complaining that they barely beat the Rams.

Trog's right, we should have lost that game, but cutler gift wrapped it and handed it to us. redmanco7 is right that we should have beaten the vikes and colts...but we didn't. Problem here is that our O has looked horrible for consecutive weeks, we consistently misuse timeouts, and get delay of game penalties because jimmyrae can't get the plays in on time or they get in too late for delay of game.
Answer: see nearby post "Have alex call his own plays? why not?" and you will see a case made for not only eliminating these disgusting wasteful T.O.s and dely of games, but you will also see why alex calling plays and especially running no huddle O, is something we should try. What we are doing now...it doesn't work
