Important issue our coaches don't address

I just wanted to say one thing about our Punt Returning situation. WHY is BRANDON JONES returning punts. He is absolutely horrible at that role. Twice in Indy he tries to return a punt inside the 10 yard line and gets pummeled (lucky he didn't fumble). Last night, the bears are punting and he was standing on the 40 yard line, instead of fair catching the ball or trying to return the punt, he lets it go and the ball bounces back all the way to the 20 yard line. I can see him muffing a punt or fumbling in a really close game that can cost us bad. Why did we let Rossum GO?

yeah, the whole situation regarding our return specialists doesnt make sence
Sing and Scotty probably realize they f'kd up by letting Rossum go, but cant do anything about it now,
Its Jones or Battle as PR till 2010, I doubt we see Jones back there again though.
we could see R.Smith he's the only other option i can think of that has college experience returning Punts
Maybe they thought Spurlock was going to be the guy to PR/KR but they never really gave him a chance , then eventually cut him also
Im sure finding a good return specialist will be on the offseason "To do" list

Because his roster spot was more important to the team than his on the field performance.
Brandon Jones isn't a natural returner. He has however held onto the ball, which is all anyone can really ask for at this point.

true the guy hasn't given us much in terms of retun yardage but he hasn't dropped the ball either. Why not try Jason Hill?

Yeah I was stunned by this from the get go. I liked that we were going to let clements do that role but he got hurt. Plus Rossum is hurt too. So what are you going to do? At least Jones isn't coughing it up like Arnaz battle.
Speaking of Battle I've spoken out for him for a long time. He has officially become a liability to this team. The facemask last night was the last straw for me. He f'd up his last contributing role. Gunner.
