Robert Smith of Vikings
I beleive it had to do with the Average yard per Carry for a certain number of career carries (1000 maybe)

Ya there was a minimum carry cutoff or else guys like Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, and DeAngelo Williams would be on that list as well, all over 5 ypc for their careers.

Gore is #3 behind Barry Sanders, ? in average yards per carry at 4.8 based on 1000 carries.
Sad really Adrian Peterson, Barber in Dallas, LT in San Diego yet Gore quietly keeps having 1000+ years with a very high YPC.
Imagine what he could do behind a good OL

He would also benefit from a solid passing game. Look at the past 2 games as evidence. We don't see many 9 man fronts anymore since we opened the offense.

Not just the more recent backs. That would include Emmitt, Dickerson, Sweetness, Earl Campbell...

Gore quietly puts up consistently good numbers, even on a s**tty team.
3rd overall in yards per carry, the stat they showed last night, and i think only behind LT in all purpose yards since 2005.
If we somewhat resembled a normal offense gore would easily be in the top 3 in rushing every year.
