Briggs was sooo close to being a 49er!!

At the trade deadline in 2007 the 49ers offered a 1st round pick for him and he thought it was a done deal he even spoke 2 Patrick wills at the pro bowl about playing with each other man he shoulda freakin had him o well I guess I got this info on Twitter from matt M and matt B

So was Tom Brady, but they chose Tim Rattay instead.

Almost, Brady was a 6th round pick and Rattay was a 7th rd pick. Instead the niners took Gio Carmazzi in the third, Brady was so disapointed because he wanted to play for the niners.
