Unpunished Holding/Taunting Calls

I don't like making excuses for our slopping play (and these aren't excuses), or throwing out conspiracy theories, but it's pretty raw that Chris Johnson got away with that taunting call on Patrick Willis (during his 'show-boat' run which was eventually called back).

But the thing that really f**ked us over in this game was Cortland Finnegan's hold on Frank Gore which would have resulted in 1st and goal (and possibly the TD which would have sealed a win for us).

It also grills me that the Titans got away with just about 3 (gigantic) PI calls throughout the majority of the 3rd quarter.

This isn't the first time either, let's talk about the monster hold the Texans got away with (which gave Slaton a TD), or even Indy's offensive holding 'non-call' during the J.Addai TD pass. -What the hell is the deal with these refs, this "oh we didn't see it" s**t is getting old.

And it's always a BIG penalty that goes un-called for within the 4th quarter. Do we suck so much that we don't get any special favors like Tom Brady, and the NFL's New England Loan Sharks?

Pretty much. And you bring up a good point. But we're not going to get "those calls" until we start stringing together some wins. We were nearly there a few weeks back, but we've taken a few steps back now.

In other words, we've got to help ourselves first before we can expect to get any help from the men in black and white stripes.

Yep, good players get the calls. Just like Jordan always got the calls. He must have been fouled because he doesnt miss. So then of course the ref blows the whistle. Its sad but true.

remember in the 1998-99 wild card game on the final drive when Rice "fumbled" against GB and it got ruled down because Rice doesn't fumble..ever

i don't remember any fumble. Do you remember a fumble?
Yeah, I have to agree on that taunt by Johnson. Even the girls who were watching the game with me called him a jerk for running into the endzone backwards. ...Then Karma hits.

I have seen a lot of uncalled holding calls against the opposing teams this season.
or the multiple consecutive offsides the vikings had in the first quarter

Yeah that should have been a taunting call for sure!

And all 6 of the times Jared Allen/Williams bros. tugged at our o-line's face-masks. -Or that bulls**t taunting penalty put on Shawntae Spencer (on 3rd and 12).
