Even last year that game was within our grasp until JT just couldn't help himself to COMPLETELY handing it to them.

NO, bumps and bruises start running thick this time of year.

A thread saying... can the Niners go 7-2 and make the playoffs might have been reasonable. This thread is laughable. There is no chance in hell the team wins out.

This will be perfect, Alex Smith versus everything we couldve had if we wouldve drafted Aaron Rodgers. Now let em' roll.
in the remaining games i predict at most at 7-2 finish, at least a 5-4 finish putting us at 10-6 or a 8-8 record for the season

One thing that people should take into account are INJURIES! You've already witnessed what happens with Gore out. Take out a couple of major players and the team starts to nosedive.
What would happen if Kurt Warner was out? A Tom Brady? A Bret Farve? A Drew Breez? Vernon Davis or Patrick Willis?
Witness the Seahawks with their injuries and what happened to the Broncos last year that allowed the Chargers to catch up.
The 49er's can't afford anymore injuries because they are thin in a lot of areas as it is. The one thing I though was a dumb move was to have Clements returning punts and now the 49er's have paid the price.

We should finish at least 8-8 or 9-7. I'd say 11-5 at best. I don't see us beating Green Bay and Philadelphia (maybe one, but not both).

I would be very happy with a 7-2 finish for this team.

This is true. I have no idea how we'll contain Fitzgerald without Clements. And people here think we'll just roll over the Cardinals.

And people also think that the 49er's will roll over the TiTans! Now there's optimism and there's reality. Titans are not as bad as their record.
Now as I type this I see that Smith just threw another interception. Go figure!
14 points has been scored on Smith's turnover, could he make it 21?
AHEM ... Another turnover? 24 points on turnovers!

Could happen...no QB and no offensive line....
