Who are our core players going foward? The guys we need to extend and rely on.....Must be under 30 going into next season.

take Gore off. I would like to extend him, but this should be the last season we RELY on him

I'll wait on deciding on Smith until the end of the season, but he might get in by default. I'd say let Hill go, make Nate Davis No. 2, draft a 3rd QB/Sign a vet.

Everyone else id agree on keeping.

I'm not sure I would extend Manny and Goldson they have been average at best. Jury still out on Smith also. Didn't they already extend Staley?

Also Alex needs to put up some good numbers for the rest of this year, if not then draft or sign another QB.

I also agree. Gore is a warrior, but I just don't know how much longer his body is going to hold up - I sure would like him to prove me wrong on this one. The two players that I would really like to see step up on that list are Dashon Goldson and Tarrell Brown. Goldson looks like a future hall of famer in practice, so we are told by MM & MB, so I would like to see some of that playmaking ability in actual games. I can't say too much bad about Brown other than he hasn't gotten a lot of play time so far, although I think he had a positive game on Sunday. I would also include Andy Lee in there too. I know he's just a punter, but he kept the 9ers out of a lot of trouble yesterday. And now if we can just get a few more good players on the O-line.

I think they will all be here next year. I don't see anyone on there that is a clear cut let them go next year player. I could see maybe Gore, but he can still run and definitely block like a mo-fo, so I think we will keep him around as long as we can....even if just to allow Coffee more room to develop, if anything.
