Kornheiser is calling him a trick... not a treat...
I hate Kornheiser.
He is hoping that now that his snoulder is better... that he will be a treat because he has Crabtree in his Fantasy League.
Kent was calling him a treat saying that he is loving his touch passes and velocity... and the way he was getting the ball to Vernon Davis...
These guys are jokes... but the first time I've seen anything Niner related on the Rundown in a while...

well, frankly, Alex hasn't really shown enough to prove otherwise. Hopefully he does well this week and proves people wrong.

I think those guys are funny. I think they script it (or semi-script it) so that they have opposing views. I mean, when they have opposing views, it makes for great television as opposed to if they had the same side on everything

This week he will show his true colors of whether or not we need to draft a QB in the upcoming draft. Hope he plays well.

We also need to prepare for the flood of "Why can't we have a QB like Peyton?!" threads.

Agree we got to prepare for that as well. It's going to be great watching this game regardless of the score.

Thats fairly simple. We didn't draft Peyton.

I think his point was nobody has a QB like peyton because there is only 1. The fact remains that he is a choke artist. Lets get off his balls.

I don't get this, he wins despite a defense that is subpar and with injuries to his supporting cast and he is a choke artist? When they lost in the playoffs it was to superior teams, not because of his play.

A lot of people are asking this same question and it's been asked a lot here too. Until Alex Smith plays a few more games, no one really knows.

I think Urban Meyers comments bear remembering. He inferred Alex would be nonfunctional till he gets it. We don't know for sure he has got it yet but there were so many thing he has cleaned up, you have to wonder. His footwork in the pocket, his new ability to get the ball gone before the reciever falls asleep and the accuracy etc. He seems to have found the mojo because if all of his weak points in the past seems incurable if it was cured one by one. He would take a year of breaking down and rebuilding. If he is now as he was the last game, I think he has found that gotten it status that Meyer said he would find after he learnt it all. Maybe he has that sort of personality. If he has pretty much found his game, I think the niner coaches need to grow him slowly. In other words use better running plays then the dead OC resume of stupid ass runs into a massive pileup. I liked the outside blocking with Morgan parked behind the OT and I think that with unbalanced lines and VD blocking they could handle Freeney. If they go unbalanced line, Freeney could spin forever and still have a guy fronting him and I think VD could block him no matter if he danced naked in bear grease. Walsh used to get guys like Freeney blocked by using good tactics but for some reason our coaches seem like they are too dumb to come up with solutions. I hope Singletary is more then a low brow knuckledragger who can only decide to tango with lions and get et.
