I have to give Goldson his props. He read well tonight. He closed well. He put his helmet right on the ball. All that considered, I think he'd be better at SS. Overall it was like our defense was in their huddle.
Either way, I want to see Eric Berry in red and gold next season. What a terrifying defense we're shaping up to be with the offense to match.

I was very impressed by Goldson's showing today. However, while 2 FF and a pick is great and all... anyone else notice his SWAG on the field?!?! He was jawing at Boldin all night and talking up the Running Backs all night... not only that he was talking trash so much but he was actually BACKING IT UP. If a player can talk trash and back it up, it gets into the head of the opposing player, which may have been why the Cardinals backs were coughing up the ball all night, and even 'Quan fumbled the ball near the end of the game.

Didn't think he was capable of that. Great game Dashon.
Both those forced fumbles he looked like he shot out of a canon. He played faster than I have seen him in the past and he was laying the wood. He blew Beanie up on that late fumble. Wells' limbs went in all different directions.
He always hits the line like a freight train

Since Berry is most likely not going to be available for the Niners when they draft, Earl Thomas could be a good pick-up to play FS.

You can be a big hitter and play FS...but, since you're the last line of defense, you better not overcommit. Goldson scares me a bit that way, and that's maybe the reason for most of the season he's allowed plays to happen in front of him, fearing someone will get behind him if he overcommits. Whatever, I agree, SS seems more in his baliwick. If we can come out of the 1st round w/Berry and a top OT, I'll be totally pumped. A secondary of Spencer, Clements, Goldson and Berry would be awesome.

If Goldson plays the last three games like he played last night we will have a good chance of running the table. I think last night is the first time we, the fans, have seen Goldson in action. I think he is finally settling into how he plays at practice. The team sees his skills but we have not seen it. Now if the defense can be consistent then we may have ourselves a love feast for the rest of the season. I would love 9-7

Hard to say what was more impressive, Goldson's play or Brooks'... Both played outstanding games on MNF and made our D look extremely formidable, downright dominant.

he needs to learn how to wrap up. You can be a big hitter and still wrap up.

If he does this consistently, we might consider drafting a later round safety. Howver, I still remember that he has more whiffs than big games like last night!
