What we have here is. . . failure to communicate.
Seriously, though, if you look at the people that Scotty has brought in since drafting Alex, how can you say that the GM is trying to build the team up to be a running team?

Crabtree was arguably the best player in the draft. A #1 receiver, something we havn't had in ages. If we had picked Oher over him everyone would've been pissed. Beanie Wells? Really? The guy who fumbles all the time and can't pick up a blitz? With Gore already here? Are you f**king serious?
Why is everyone so butthurt about Sheets? Why do we always get so upset about practice squad players every single year?
I didn't see that many free agent linemen out there this year. We took a gamble on Marvell Smith and it didn't work. We brought in Pashos who was a decent Rt the past few years.
We are 3-3. Totally dysfunctional? If so then half the league is dysfunctional as well.

I can't believe you posted this today. I thought most had a warm fuzzy feeling after watching the Smith and Crabtree coming out party, I guess not.
I think we're still looking for an identity and some consistency. We're not the run-through-everybody team that most fans envisioned.
That being said, i wouldn't call our team "dysfunctional"

49ers are nowhere near that.

We kind of looked like that against Atlanta.

That's funny. I feel like we just lost a second straight game.

The Niners are a train wreak, totally dysfunctional, their actions do not match there words. Internal fortitude, strength of character, and success comes when inner thought, action and words are all in alignment.
Let me give a few examples,
"We will be a running team and impose our will" = Words
We draft Crabtree, while passing on Oher, or Beannie Wells.= Action
We DON"T bring in any free agent O-linemen in free agency, not even for work outs.
Then we sign Jones at Wr. = Action
We let Sheets get away, Keeping only two running backs (Mrob is a not an NFL caliber RB, he is a converted QB) = Action
We keep 6-7? WR on the roaster= Action
We let Billy Bajema a blocking TE go = Action
Either we are being lied to, or Singletary is lying to himself, or mabye just maybe, ScottyM is not on the same page as Sing, either way it does not look good for our Niners going forward.
Our roster is a shambles, we need to decide who we really are, are we a tough hard nosed running team, then we need to cut Hill, Spurlock, and Ziggy becuase they will never be the blockers we need.
Are we a deep ball passing team, then we need to say good by to Battle, Bruce and Mrob.
Are we a "west coast" short passing team relying on the R.A.C., well then....
I think you get my point we need to decide who we are and taylor our roster to fit. We seem to be hedging our bets and hoping an identity will some how evolve, that way lies disaster.
Sing and Scotty need to be on the same page, come out and say what the direction is and stick with it!
One thing is certain we are not a running team.
Just my thoughts take it for what it is worth.

the viking and texan games were counted as "W" on our internal W/L columns. After each game, the ownership and management - VP or equivalent, vote on the game result for internal evaluation purposes.
The ownership is pleased with the current standing of 5-1.

your going WAY overboard here man
Crabtree looked great do you debate that he will be a really really good player for us for a long time? why dispute him being drafted?
the OL looked good in the 2nd half of the season under Sing. We have alot of young guys on the OL so everyone was encouraged in the OS about the OL. the only question was supposed to be RT.
We were down by 21 pts so yes we spread the offense the entire game. Read coach Sing's recent comments he alluded that the O will begin to have more balance and open it up a bit doesn't hurt that we now have a quality WR to stretch the field in Crabtree
We have been hancuffed by a bad OL play (the OG play couldn't have been predicted) and an immobile QB that couldn't make plays when we needed them. That put the D in bad position and on the field for to long
With a mobile QB that has an arm, a #1 WR, a QB that can really show what a beast VD is and get the ball to J.Morgan you are going to see some things happen like less men in the box teams paying very close attention to VD/Crabs thus opening up the running game with Gore. You are spot on with this insight!
watch once smith starts making things happen the D will show you how good they really are (top 5 or 6 in the NFL) and the running game will comeback.
this team will win the NFC West and go to the playoffs. we will have 4-6 pro bowl players.
Did you really expect this season to go without any bumps in the road????
