Crabtree was amazingly impressive in his debut.

Even I have to admit Scot M. looks like a genius compared to the way they pick. LOL.

LOL.
Look at some of the comments posted on Youtube including some Raider fans.
"I speak for all raider fans when I say...the greatest day of our lives will be the day al davis dies. We all hate al davis. We hated him when he drafted 7 db's in 9 years. we hated him when he drafted dhb. we hate al davis."
"Crabtrees got more than twice as many catches as heyward bay and it only took him one game. man hes got great hands."
He's got the power.

nfl network said alex smith has more td passes this year than jamarcus russell (3-2)
Even more funny. LOL.
Raiders = FAIL.
Wow. Even SanDiego is happy and laughing.
Who could ever have thought we could be this happy after a loss?
Crabtree with more catches than DHB? Hilarious.
Alex Smith with more TD throws then Russell? You have got to be kidding me. This is some classic hilarious stuff.

and everyone would have laughed if at the end of last season someone suggested that VD would have these stats after 6 games
rec 29, yds 355, avg 12.2, yds/g 59.2, TD 6, 20+ 5, 1st downs 16
no complaints tho

I dont regret the name calling (it made me feel better), plus we're just fan bloggers on a Niner website so nobody cares about our opions except us (I know some of you like to pretend its more than that)...
With that said, I'm very impressed with what I've seen from the Treeman and I'm glad he is on the team.....
Is that enough Crow?
You could have given us a more Crabtree like effort here.
And he should only get better and better with experience ------ Yeah
Thank you Al Davis ------

You know what's even funnier? Smith is 2 TDs shy Hill's season total of 5 TDs, and he's only played in one half.

Hill is garbage. How can anybody still want him to start?

I wanted Smith to start all along. I didn't mind that Hill started the season because I thought he earned it, but you have to produce to keep your job. He didn't, and now I'm glad it's Alex's turn. Win or lose, I'm happy with this decision. I honestly think I'd rather go 8-8 and know that Smith is the QB of the future, with Crabtree, Davis, and Gore as cornerstones of our offense, than go 9-7 with Shaun Hill and make the playoffs. It just sets us back a year or two. We have to plan what's best for the future.

Are we getting a little carried away? Indianapolis is pretty good defensively, and now the league has some film on Crabtree. If he gets 100 yards, I'll be extremely impressed.
Bring it Alex

Ya the future looks good for us. I was also happy with Scott McKillop's play today, didn't think he'd be that solid.

We do have to find out if he is the future or not. Our record should be roughly equivalent with Hill or Smith. Maybe a little better with Smith lately. Shaun Hill has not played great football this year. He's mostly living off his reputation of having a winning record. That record was mostly running the ball, play good D. and don't turn it over. It wasn't like he was the sole person winning the games.

You could hear the head coach in Brian Billick salivating as the game wore on...he appreciates great talent and was very impressed with Crabtree. MC may've also helped change the offensive identity...for it's crystal clear now the strength of our offense is the receiving corps. Add Brandon Jones to the mix and it's even stronger. All that means more of a spread offense...because that's what Alex does well and it gives everyone a spark. He never had the tools (supporting cast) before to play his game..now he does and I'm confident Singletary will see that. It was great to see him use his wheels to get out of trouble instead of taking yet another sack. I know it was only one half of one game...but, I saw a confident, poised Alex running the show with great results yesterday. Crabtree simply gives him a great receiver to throw to...he was worth the wait.

Crabs
1 game 5 rec 56 yds
